Information collection and use
Comview provides telecom/technology expense management, mobility management and call accounting solutions to its customers. Comview obtains third party personally identifiable information (“PII”) on individuals (each a “PII Participant”) pursuant to written agreements with its customers (each a “Customer”).
Comview collects telephone and mobile phone usage information for its customers. For voice calls this includes: date, time, telephone number dialed, what location user is in (mobile only), cost of call, duration, extension or mobile number dialed from. For other types of mobile usage we collect only data usage in total bytes, occurrence of messages (not the contents).
We merge this information with user name, location they report to and department. Information may also include title of individual and corporate employee id. This information is reported on for internal management uses only. This information is also used in the aggregate for departmental chargeback and management.
No other personal data is included other than what is stated above. This information is available only to authorized users of our web portal which includes certain Comview employees, and authorized employees of the organization.
Comview adheres to and respects the laws of the EU country in which the PII data is collected.
Comview employs reasonable and generally accepted measures to protect personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction, whether in transmission or storage.
Comview also collects personal information about a visitor to our public websites only when the visitor chooses to provide such data, such as providing personal contact information to access certain content or to request details about Comview’s products and services.
Cookies are files with small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a web site and stored on your computer’s hard drive. Like many sites, we use “cookies” to collect information to improve the user experience and for analytics and reporting purposes. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some features of our site.
Disclosure of information and third parties
Comview does not disclose this information in any form to third parties except in response to a lawful request by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements. Comview obtains this information pursuant to written agreements with its customers (each a “Customer”). Comview does reserve the right to use third-party contractors to supplement staff activities. Comview remains responsible and liable under the Privacy Shield Principles if third-party contractors process the data in a manner inconsistent with the Privacy Principles, unless Comview proves that it is not responsible for the event giving rise to the damage.
Web pages hosted by Comview may contain links to other websites. Comview is not responsible for the privacy policies or the content of these other websites. Clients and end-users should review the policy statements of these other websites to understand their policies before disclosing personal information.
Right to personal data
Upon receipt of written notice from a Customer that an individual whose PII is possessed by Comview has opted out of sharing their PII, the PII shall be deleted from Comview’s servers.
Upon receipt of written notice from a Customer that an individual whose PII is possessed by Comview requests to view the stored PII data, Comview will forward that information to the Customer and to the individual making the request. Comview may charge a $US 10.00 fee to retrieve this information. Comview will provide this information within 15 days of request.
Comview Corporation is subject to the investigative and enforcement authority of the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
In compliance with the Privacy Shield Principles, Comview Corporation commits to resolve complaints about our collection or use of your personal information. Comview Corporation has further committed to refer unresolved Privacy Shield complaints to American Arbitration Association, an alternative dispute resolution provider located in the United States. If you do not receive timely acknowledgment of your complaint from us, or if we have not addressed your complaint to your satisfaction, please contact or visit http://info.adr.org/safeharbor for more information or to file a complaint. The services of American Arbitration Association are provided at no cost to you.
If a complaint remains unresolved, under limited circumstances, a binding arbitration option maybe available before a Privacy Shield Panel as indicated in the Privacy Shield Framework.
